BRIGHT came to me at 3 months of age and
she was out tracking the very next day. She
was certified to enter a tracking test at 4 1/2
months old and earned her TD at 6 months and
3 days old. She earned her TDX (tracking dog
excellent) at 17 months old, the youngest collie
to earn each of those titles.
Bright and I love agility and have competed all over
the country and we were invited to compete at the
AKC/Eukanuba Invitational in both 2006 and 2007.
Here are some of my favorite agility pictures of her.
Bright finished her conformation championship with
back to back specialty majors including a BOB over
top specials under judge Mr Howard Dullnig
Receiving CCA's VX award---2006
CCA's Performance Top 20 in North
Carolina, 2007
We finally got around to herding and Bright
earned her HSAs in 2007, qualifying 4 times
in Started and winning 3 HITs and 1 RHIT
Top 20 catalog
2006 and 2007

In April, 2009 Bright and Jif and I drove across the
country to the Collie Club of America national
specialty in Springfield, MA where at 8 1/2 years old
Bright earned QQ #20 and finished her PAX. She
retired from agility with that run. It was the best
place to retire and I appreciate the support of all my
collie agility friends. It will be sad not to run agility
with Bright any longer, but she's done everything
I've ever asked of her and now she can enjoy her
retirement.
Update: Bright came out of retirement
to run at the 2010 CCA in Pomona, CA,
and she qualified and won her class 3
out of 4 runs. She'd have Q'd the 4th
one too except for her handler's error!
Back to retirement.
These totally candid pictures were taken in
my backyard as Bright watched squirrels
running up and down the trees.
